A Day in the Life of … Lee

My alarm goes off at 5,00am for a breakfast show and in the deepest winter when it was still dark, gloomy and cold, it was really hard to spring out of bed…Yeah right!
I don’t know anyone who springs out of bed at 5.00 in the morning. But since the Spring Equinox and the clocks going forward I must say I am a little more alert when the dreaded alarm goes off. It must be the light! (and THAT’S my excuse and I’m sticking to it!) Why you may ask 5.00 am? When the show only starts at 9.00am? Well, I have a little problem with public transport, in a word its PANTS and I can’t do it! So, I drive into London

This past week has been quite a busy one what with juggling my diary between personal appointments, corporate work and appearing on the show, but I have made time for my “girls”. My “girls” are a superb network of friends, whom I fondly refer to as my “urban family” because for many years I was here in the UK without any family to speak of. They have all been amazing, seeing me through my heartache, disappointments and challenges as well as routing for me on the sidelines, with words of encouragement and cheering me on when I did well. Always ready with a box of tissues or a glass of bubbly to commiserate or celebrate with me and I can honestly say I would not be upright, sane or as grounded, if it were not for their love and support.

For instance we have a “Handbags and Shoes” monthly meeting (it’s a girlie thang) and our round-robin e-mail subject always starts with “Handbags at 8.00 girls!”
It’s our excuse for getting together to catch up and put the world to right.
Not much talk about handbags or shoes to be honest, because we are too involved with talking (did I say talking? No, more like “complaining” about our relationships, work responsibilities, family and holiday plans!! It really is a girlie thang! :>)

I am usually roped in to do some magic with my numbers and inform my “girls” if their latest “squeeze” is worth pursuing or not. I am often amused by just how accurate these interpretations are; especially when in our next meeting I am regaled with stories of “You’ll never guess what he did! Just as you said” and “How on earth could you have known he has a little problem with….”

    Davey Girl,
Now that you mention it..I have a book written regarding my Forecasting By Numbers cards, it’s the manual and a really lovely agent has given me some great feedback and I hope this will be going forward to a publisher soon! As for my friends they are marvellous, in fact a dear friend AK suggested during the Handbag & Shoes evening that she would make sure I got home by 5.00am SUCH LOYALTY!!!
What more can a girl ask for? With the exception of a loving cuddle from your special one!

    Hi Lee,

Amazing to know you wake up at 5am – how embarrassed i feel moaning to get up at 8am. Handbags and shoes night – good title- maybe add lipstick to it as well. Your readings are spot-on I will have most definitely lost the plot if it were not for your reading of me when I needed it the most, I even rely on your readings for the good times. I look forward to seeing you on TV. when is the best time/day to catch you ?

  8. John says:

She tuned straight into my angel therapy work and my work as a medium. She’s told me whats coming up for me spiritually and i must say i’m very excited.:-) she is brilliant,x
