Fuel Tank Liner

If I replace a 15 year old oil fired boiler with an efficient Natural Gas fired boiler, what things should I?
… be aware of or consider?
The house currently has a Fuel Oil fired boiler that supplies heat via baseboard hot water.
The pipes for the baseboard heat in the house are about 40 years old. Are they likely to need replaced?
Natural gas is readily available near the home. I’m guessing that installing a high efficiency boiler would eliminate any need to put a better liner in the chimney since the chimney won’t be used. Right?
Should I install a separate hot water tank ? The house’s hot water currently comes from the 15 year old boiler. That means the boiler is using fuel oil even in the summer.
first – with 40yr old pipe it is probably galvanized, if so it may need replacing, otherwise put a filter that can withstand heat and is High Flow. you will need to go with a Stainless Steel boiler because your pipe is not oxygen barrier. you may as well go with a modulating condensing boiler because the little amount more up front will easily repay itself in low monthly gas utility bill.

let me know if you need help deciding which boiler
