…remains one of the most popular comedy chickflicks ever. Have you seen it? It’s based around one simple or not so simple question:
Can men and women ever be friends?
In the film, Harry and Sally disagree on this point. He says no, sex will always get in the way. She thinks it is perfectly possible for men and women to be just good friends. The film follows their friendship through times when they really don’t get on, to times when they become very close. But does it ever go beyond friendship? I won’t tell you cos if you haven’t seen it, the last thing I want to do is spoil it for you!
The question is a good one. For me, I’m with Sally. I’ve got loads of male friends and I can’t imagine desire ever getting in the way. Having said that, one of my best friends pointed out that most of my romances start as chummage without rummage (often with someone I wouldn’t dream of dating because I like them too much and don’t want to spoil it), and she laughed at what she called my ‘roadcrew of almosts, we-nearly-dids, and maybe tomorrows!’ I clocked her with my handbag for being a cheeky mare!
Friendship is based on personal chemistry. Sometimes but not always, that chemistry has a sexual element. If that’s the case, all it needs is time and as friendship is built on time together, of course it can help latent attraction to develop. But it doesn’t guarantee anything. After all, if you spend a lot of time with someone, eventually you’ll find a day when they are the most dazzling creature on earth. You’ll also have a day when they look terrible/smell funny/have spinach in their teeth/are being boring. If you’re still there on that day, you’re either a good friend or you’ve got it bad, or both. The line gets dangerously blurred and a little psychic help can save a lot of time!
The same holds true for same sex connections too. The baseline question is this; if someone is potentially fanciable, can you ever get past that and just be friends with them? Let me know what you think:-)

Meditation for Your Word of The Day
The following meditation is one I frequently use when teaching basic awareness and psychic development. When learning to meditate, it is far better to have instruction from an experienced teacher than it is to try to go it alone. Attempting to ‘still’ the mind or think of nothing is counter-productive. When settling down for meditation it is best to use the breath as a focus. When you encounter lots of mind chatter simply acknowledge the thoughts, however random they may be, and then return your awareness to your breathing. Do not feel that you must breathe to a specific count, it is has to be what you are comfortable with otherwise you will feel lightheaded. Now for the meditation.
Settle yourself comfortably in a chair, turn off or silence all distractions and close your eyes. Breathe deep into your solar plexus, in other words fill your lungs and fully exhale two or three times and sense any negativity or stress being blown away. Then the rhythm of the breathe will come. Imagine yourself on a pathway, the path is lined with flowers and the sun is warm on your face. Be aware of bird song and the power of nature as you make your way along the path. As the path winds along you come into a meadow, situated in the corner is a small building. Make your way across to this building and notice the door is open ready for your arrival. As you enter, you instantly feel that you have come home, a sense of de ja vu comes over you and you recognise you have been here many times before. Become aware of your surroundings, of the furniture, the décor and the atmosphere of your room. Among the many things contained here, notice that there is a small wooden box on the windowsill. Pick the box up and hold it in your hand for a few moments, feel the wood and notice the shape of the box. Remove the lid and you will find a folded piece of paper. When you remove the paper and unfold it you will see your personal word of the day.
This word will be something that will be relevant for your day ahead. I look forward to hearing what your word is and if you instantly recognise its relevance.

The Power of Healing: Morning folks how you all doing this bright morning? I want to discuss the “Power of healing” today, and, how important, this is for our spiritual growth. I’m, well qualified to speak and guide others on this subject, as, I myself am a powerful healer and through my own experiences, have learnt how to process pain and trauma and have risen above the so called “Ashes” many a time!”(Don’t panic, there’s a happy ending!
)))))) When we go through a traumatic experience every cell, and tissue in our being, is impacted. If we allow the energy of the trauma to fester, it can take on a life of its own, manifesting as something much more tangible and/ or Sinister. When we don’t, process negative energy. We create DIS- EASE.
In Chinese Medicine prevention is better than the cure. The belief is that by making regular visits to a practioner, who can detect imbalance through the meridian lines, (That’s energy pathways) keeps us in good spiritual health. It’s a bit like having a regular spiritual M.O.T, making sure that our energy is flowing nicely! Blocks that are detected through the meridian lines can be treated with acupressure/ acupuncture or herbal medicine. This blog isn’t about preaching the difference between positive and negative energies- it’s a reminder that we are responsible for the health and safety of our own mind- body- and soul’s health ……. I’m aware that some of us are more Robust than others and I do include myself here because I am very lucky to have been given, a constitution and the resourcefulness that enabled me to heal when I was taken to the edge once or twice myself! .
Looking back at these events I can honestly say that at that time, I was resisting my true “Spiritual path” and sub- consciously created a scenario that eventually landed me in hospital hanging onto the threads of my life!!!!!!!! I could, put this down to being young. Or in- experienced but the truth is that I was close to the edge…… which gave me no choice other than to make a complete U turn whilst I took loads of time out to heal myself This was indeed a “Rude awakening .
“This is my “check list” to maintain good, clean, spiritual health. ….. NEVER take for granted the impact of a negative experience no matter how big or small LEARN, HEAL, CLEAR and MOVE through your experience (Not necessarily in that order) TRANSMUTING pain into strength is not easy…. I know BUT it’s not impossible either. Share with me your stories this Friday 31st July on YDP and no it’s not about being self indulgent this morning and nor is it about discussing psychical health issue’s NOT ALLOWED it’s about the power of healing and support as part of your spiritual journey.
Love and Blessings Rosa xx
