Meditation for Your Word of The Day
The following meditation is one I frequently use when teaching basic awareness and psychic development. When learning to meditate, it is far better to have instruction from an experienced teacher than it is to try to go it alone. Attempting to ‘still’ the mind or think of nothing is counter-productive. When settling down for meditation it is best to use the breath as a focus. When you encounter lots of mind chatter simply acknowledge the thoughts, however random they may be, and then return your awareness to your breathing. Do not feel that you must breathe to a specific count, it is has to be what you are comfortable with otherwise you will feel lightheaded. Now for the meditation.
Settle yourself comfortably in a chair, turn off or silence all distractions and close your eyes. Breathe deep into your solar plexus, in other words fill your lungs and fully exhale two or three times and sense any negativity or stress being blown away. Then the rhythm of the breathe will come. Imagine yourself on a pathway, the path is lined with flowers and the sun is warm on your face. Be aware of bird song and the power of nature as you make your way along the path. As the path winds along you come into a meadow, situated in the corner is a small building. Make your way across to this building and notice the door is open ready for your arrival. As you enter, you instantly feel that you have come home, a sense of de ja vu comes over you and you recognise you have been here many times before. Become aware of your surroundings, of the furniture, the décor and the atmosphere of your room. Among the many things contained here, notice that there is a small wooden box on the windowsill. Pick the box up and hold it in your hand for a few moments, feel the wood and notice the shape of the box. Remove the lid and you will find a folded piece of paper. When you remove the paper and unfold it you will see your personal word of the day.
This word will be something that will be relevant for your day ahead. I look forward to hearing what your word is and if you instantly recognise its relevance.

Goodmorning Litz
My word was BELIEVE and yes I can put it in context Carolyn explained the other day how to make a Wish Board so I made one so far 2 things have come true, I had applied to S.S.D.Council for a 2 bedroomed bungalow but they would only allow me to have 1 so my husband refused to move down to my part of the country I wrote and asked why they refused us a 2 bedroom one as both being disabled we could at any time need some-one to live in for a few days to look after us.
The reply I got back said if I could back this up with a Dr.s letter it may change the goal post it did we can now bid as they strangly call it to get one when it comes up in the right place (I have a street map of the area on my wish board) so I will go on believing in my wish board untill it all come’s true,) I have been realistic with the things I have put on it I cut the words out of a newspaper Family happiness no matter what age, as I want my husband to be happy down there as I am very very unhappy where we are and it’s his home town which he has never left apart from the odd holiday.
As the cost of living is a bit highier in Somerset than Lancashire I thought of including a picture of coins and paper money under a headline of Increases In Benifits as this is one of the things that bothers him.
I will believe in my Wish Board I will Believe my husband will be happy and I will Believe that by going back 4 of my children who stopped talking to me will forgive me and talk to me again and get on with my husband.

Good morning Litz,
Argh!! I can’t do it!! I did this a few months back and was fine but today I can’t seem to focus. Everything is flying around inside my head. I can’t even get the breathing going properly because I’m just concentrating on how heavy my chest feels (my asthma has played up last night due to having another difficult night, so I feel like I’ve got a giant elephant sat on my chest!!).
A few minutes ago I did start to visualise walking down a path but it wasn’t how it was supposed to be. Instead of walking down a path lined with flowers in the sun surrounded by bird song etc I was walking down a very dark path in a forest surrounded by high trees and overgrown bushes. I became panicky and stopped. Maybe I should just try and go with it and see what happens…
I’m going to keep trying throughout the morning and will hopefully be able to find my word.
Hope to catch up with you soon,
Lots of love

Hi Topaz,
I love your word!! After yesterday morning I was thinking about you and I hoped that your caller comment had been answered and you felt better. I think your word is so appropraite for you and I’m so glad things are looking a little better. And you’ve made me believe this mornig too. Reading your blog reminded me that there is hope everywhere you just have to believe in it. Thank you!! Anyway, I have my fingers crossed for you with regards to the house and your wish board.
Lots of love,
Lotte xx
