Something to feel good about – an essay on Kitties big and small!
Yesterday (well today, as I’m writing it) it was my friend’s 30th birthday, so we did, as all grown adults should do, we went to the Zoo! I was so excited and happy to see all of the animals and birds, but especially the big cats! Even though I love the Zoo, I truly wish that the animals had bigger enclosures… however they do a great job of looking after the animals, and we were privileged to see… drum roll… 6month old Lion cubs! I was so excited I could hardly speak (believe it or not…).
We watched them play, literally for hours, they were having so much fun, falling into the water, and getting cleaned by their mum’s, we didn’t see many other animals as we moved between the Lion family, the majestic Tigers and the beautiful Servals, creating a triangle of Kitty joy!
The day was so special, and one we will remember, as I think is the case with all experiences with animals. Just to bring more tears to my eyes I was shown this video before yesterday’s zone show:

So what I wanted to talk about, apart from Kitties, is what makes us feel good? We can all think of what we are missing out of our lives, but it’s nearly Yule and a time of Magic, where miracles are possible, and it’s time to celebrate all the things that bring us joy! Whether it be Lion cubs, good time spent with good friends, meeting up with family, my girl cat purring when I fuss her, my boy cat waking me up with a nuzzle, a brisk walk with a hot chocolate on a cold day, the twinkling of fairy lights, cuddles from a special someone, dancing, doing something you enjoy….
So let’s get excited by December, however cold it may be, and bring some feel good to this Wednesday morning. Let me know what makes you feel good this morning. J
