Fuel Sender
Where can I get a new fuel sender for a 96 seadoo gs?
In adition to the question above, I know the only way I can replace this is to pull the gas tank out and of course that means pulling the motor and unhooking the drivetrain from it and I know I could mess it all up easily, so my question is a rough estimate I should pay a shop to replace the fuel sender. I know how to work on these things, but thats just too far out of my ballpark, I can’t get the old fuel sender out…not enough room and dont want to even think about pulling the engine out so someone please help. First of all the Fuel Tank should be in the nose under the storage basket of which you can remove by lifting out.
Second the fuel tank is held in by rubber straps of which un-hook easily,the fuel sending unit is on top of gas tank and it can be removed easily and I do believe Sea Doo had a recall on that unit,due to the fact that the magnets in the pump that read the level of fuel fall off so the sending unit will be in op!
I have a 96 Sea Doo XP of which I replaced my own and it was easy to do took a little bit of time but not hard to do!
You can do it with common tools no need to buy expense tools.
