MEANT TO BE

It’s a phrase I dread hearing in any kind of question or reading; Is it meant to happen, are we meant to be?  I do my best to get answers to it of course, but still I worry, because it’s as though we are saying, ‘ Will the universe make this happen? Will fate take over and ensure this outcome for me?’ Don’t get me wrong – fate might do just that. But relying on it alone would worry me to bits.

I recall a lovely lady having a reading with me. She had been alone for a while and was ready to consider relationships, but the problem was how to find one. She went to work, came home, cleaned the house, went to bed, repeat day after day.   The cards looked good for her, the opportunities were out there, but short of the universe shoving prince charming down the chimney, how was she to meet anybody at all, never mind The One?

I wasn’t suggesting that she hang around in bars or anything, but we did discuss hobbies, meeting people at interest groups or evening classes, internet possibilities, getting involved in local events…she shook her head at all the options I could name.

‘I believe if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be,’ she told me, by which she meant she wasn’t about to change anything at all. Love would find her at the bus stop maybe, or in the supermarket, or perhaps through work. Now, don’t get me wrong, love might indeed appear in all these places, but I’m one for giving love a bit of help. ‘Meant to be?’ I wondered about this for a long time. After all, if you were sitting in your house and you ran out of groceries, would you sit and wait thinking, ‘If Spirit means me to have dinner, the groceries will somehow turn up!’ I suspect not. You’d more likely go get the groceries wouldn’t you?

Love, luck, chance, fate… sometimes it’s about going with the flow and sometimes change in your life needs you to kick start it. The psychics on the show will give you all the help we can. But in the end, you’re the captain of your ship, your free will decides the direction. That’s definitely Meant To Be!
