Can a piston pump suck water from depth?
Can a piston pump suck waterfrom 150 feet deep bore.
Its a triplex plunger (piston) pump. suction is around 50 to 90 L/M. Can this lift a water from 150 Feet depth.
Pump flow Pressure capacity, 300 to 600 Psi.
Suck from 150 ft? No.
The best that any pump could possibly do is to draw a perfect vacuum. That will raise the water level approximately 30 ft. You can’t do better than pulling a perfect vacuum.
The alternative, then, is to push the water in some manner. Often a submersible pump is used. A jet pump can operate from the surface and, though somewhat inefficient, I’m pretty sure one can provide sufficient lift to handle 150 ft depth.
