In many vehicles that utilize fuel, gasoline vehicles average somewhere between 250 to 350 miles per tank of gas; cars that utilize diesel easily get 500 to 600 miles per tank fill-up. The same concept is applied to diesel generators, which can be a crucial factor in life and death situations. If you are stranded in your home or a certain location without heat or power for several days, you need to be sure that you have fuel that will last for the maximum amount of time.
A diesel generator is specifically designed to take advantage of the high-energy sources naturally found in diesel fuel, which helps prolong the length of time you can utilize the generator for electrical power, heat and other functions. Generators are critical for power sources at specific locations; a football game is a good example, as television stations need massive quantities of energy to cover the games and power their cameras and equipment. Diesel generators are the best types of generators available for these situations, as they continually offer a much larger energy output than gasoline powered generators. While gasoline powered generators work well enough in their own right, larger businesses usually invest in diesel to help with cost-cutting procedures.
